Our client is one of the worlds largest management consulting firms. At present they have a requirement to recruit a number of Insurance Business Consultants to help them meet client demand.

The successful candidate will operate alongside Business and IT stakeholders to understand the relevant business processes, how specific issues should be resolved, or opportunities executed. The resource will need to be able to analyse, design and present options for how to achieve a client's strategic vision or take advantage of specific opportunities.

Skills/Experienced required:
 
Experience in one or more of the following disciplines is considered mandatory:
  • Life & Pensions Strategy / Finance - accountancy/actuarial background or skills,  L&P business architecture experience, Solvency II, good understanding of L&P product and regulatory environment, profitability and balance sheet analysis
  • Insurance Systems/Data Architecture - deep knowledge of L&P or GI industry platforms and products, first hand development and application/data architecture experience, specific knowledge of data and system issues and solutions for Solvency II
  • Insurance Operations/BPO - customer services background with experience of solution design (business process, people and systems), operational management experience in L&P or GI, process improvement, buy or sell side of Insurance BPO deals specifically including pricing
  • General Insurance Personal Lines / Retail - experience in distribution (direct, online and partnerships), product design, claims and process improvement
 
Candidates should also possess the following:
  • experience of working within a life & pensions or general insurance environment with a broad understanding of the products, distribution models and financial levers for change
  • experience of implementing IT solutions and / or redesigning processes, in some of the following areas: distribution, customer services, risk and finance
  • strong understanding of full life-cycle IT implementation coupled with a strong understanding of the inherent business challenges and processes within those areas
  • management experience should be commensurate with the proposed level they would be recruited at (Senior Manager level recruits are expected to have led a significant IT/business change programme(s) in the areas described above. Manager level recruits are expected to have led a team within a significant programme(s) or to have led a project in the areas described above. Consultant level recruits are expected to have played a major role in the delivery of a project/programme in the areas described above, e.g. a design lead, development lead, test lead, etc.
  • ability to work with senior clients and propose creative solutions to insurance problems
  • an ability to thrive in a team environment
  • excellent client relationship/interpersonal skills
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • strong professional presence
